Bakersfield, CA- In November of 2005, Mendy Fry was hired by Lee Jennings to drive the Jennings & Scheele Chevy-powered nostalgia Top Fuel dragster in the Goodguys Vintage Racing Association Drag Racing Series. Fry, who spent the last two seasons behind the wheel of Frank Hedge's nostalgia Top Fuel entry, will make her debut for Jennings Motorsports March 10-12 at the 47th annual Goodguys March Meet at Auto Club Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, California.

Garlits to be honored at 47th March Meet
Bakersfield, CA - Don Garlits is returning to Bakersfield this spring. The winningest top fuel racer in March Meet history, "Big Daddy" will be honored by the Goodguys Vintage Drag Racing Association as the official "Hot Rod Hero" of the 47th March Meet presented Clay Smith Cams. The three-day event, scheduled for March 10-12 will envelope Auto Club Famoso Raceway, just north of Bakersfield for three days of all out vintage drag racing and hot rodding fun. The event serves as the first stop of the 5-race 2006 Goodguys West Coast Championship Series.
